Abstract

Talent Management (TM) is one of the most decisive aspects for the companies’
success and their long-run sustainability. This research paper aimed at contributing to the development of the TM topic of the development of GT and monitoring
implementation of a theoretical model of strategic talent management through an
empirical study on information and communication technology companies. Results
show that organizations are managing talents and that they consider talent as a factor with enormous impact on the competitive advantage and the financial performance, although they do not fully corroborate the theoretical model analysed. As far as theory is concerned, the huge challenge of the present “Talent Era”, will be to set the boundaries of the TM. In practical terms it will be its strategic implementation.
