This paper aims to contribute to the ongoing debate on ways to evaluate performance in talent management. It discusses Innovation 4.0 trends — managing people, things, processes, services and data — and the importance of developing new competences, stressing the roles played by co-creation and co-evaluation in motivation as a potential success factor. A proposal for a competency taxonomy for (co)evaluation in the digital transformation phase is presented.
