Abstract

In Western societies there has been a unprecedented advances in technology as well as significant growth in the quality of life. Consequently, the purpose of work has been modified and begins to assume a central role in the life of an individual.
More and more individuals seek a rewarding professional activity. In the emerging need for professional achievement of employees, new and multiple daily challenges are added from organizations. They are increasingly looking for professionals who are passionate about, and committed to, their work and who are able to respond positively to the challenges of survival. At present, the role of technological tools grows in importance and scope in the professional world. This paper aims to confirm the relevance of social networking sites in the search for talent and to explore their role in the work of professionals from different organizations.
